Show Notes

Taylor Brana and Jay recorded this episode in the beginning of 2020 and by listening in you are certainly in for a treat!

Taylor Brana is a Resident Physician in the field of Psychiatry and since starting his medical career he has taken a deep interest in aiding in the processes of medicine, healthcare, and education.

Taylor started a podcast called The Happy Doc which has allowed him to take a deep dive into learning what makes physicians fulfilled and how they can build success and joy in their lives. Taylor has learned from over 50 inspirational doctors (and keeps interviewing more)! A doctor's life can be tough, but Taylor truly believes it is possible to build a happy and fulfilled life as a health professional; Taylor's guests have shown him that.

Taylor is now in the process of developing further innovations in the healthcare and medical space  to reduce friction and pain points that are currently involved with being a professional and student. Medicine is tremendously behind in the realms of technology and innovation. Having personal experiences in the struggles of everyday healthcare, Taylor has worked and led teams to create tools to enhance the experience.

Taylor is the Co-Founder of MedFlashGo, who have created the first voice interactive Amazon Alexa Skill with a robust question bank that helps students study. Medical training is exhausting and leaves very little time for students to study and take care of themselves. Utilizing MedFlashGo, students can study more efficiently and enhance important associations during times where their hands are tied up or they want to rest their eyes. Examples include cooking, cleaning, lying down, lounging, walking, exercising, etc. Students who use this skill utilize an audio-verbal learning style to test themselves and retain more important information. This is also paired with the MedFlashGo podcast which is available for students to learn via audio.

Taylor and his team continue to develop audio learning in areas of education in order to make learning accessible, inexpensive, and fun. It is his belief that with his teams they can educate the world and create a brighter and healthier society. Current developments include DentalFlashGo, SATFlashGo, MCATFlashGo, and SurgeryFlashGo.

There is so much value in this episode and it is a MUST LISTEN to episode.
